The Toronto Soaring Club is a non-profit organization that has been training members in the art of soaring since 1963. The Toronto Soaring Club is active on weekends, but does have mid-week flying on demand, and operates from 3 runways, 18/36, 09/27, 16/34. The club's fleet currently consists of an SGS 1-26, ASK-13, SZD-50-3, SZD-51, and a Citabria 7GCBC towplane. There are also 12 privately owned gliders currently at the field. The Toronto Soaring Club offers the best social environment of any club in Canada, hosting monthly potluck BBQs on the 4th Saturday of each month. The club actively promotes cross-country soaring and contest flying.
