Soaring Camps & Safaris

A number of Canadian clubs make regular visits to other soaring locations at particular times of the year. Some of these camps have a long history and have been the places of fantastic achievements. Exploration of these areas is ongoing. Check these items for information on camps and opportunities to fly somewhere new.

Current SAC Directors & Officers

Canadian National Soaring Team

The Canadian Soaring Team is selected by the Soaring Association of Canada based on combined results from the best 2 out of 3 previous National Soaring Championships and/or International competitions.

The 2017 Women's World Gliding Championships were hosted in Zbraslavice (Czech Republic) from May 17 to June 4, 2017.

Canadian Junior National Soaring Team

The Canadian Junior National Soaring Team is the team chosen to represent Canada at the Junior World Gliding Championships, held biennially. This team of elite young pilots are some of the best young glider pilots in Canada.
